Irene-Wakonda School District 13-3

Aug 13	The bus taking those students who need transportation from Wakonda to Irene will leave Wakonda at 7:44 AM ( Mr M).

Aug 13	It is crucial that we adhere to these times as both drivers are teachers and need sufficient time to get back to high school before class.

Aug 13	To ride shuttle bus from Irene to Wakonda students will need to be at High School at or before 7:35 am for first bus(Mr Sees) and at or before 7:40 am for second shuttle to Wakonda (Mr King).

Heart Screenings

When: September 11, 2025

We need at least 10 kids to sign up before they will come.

After the unfortunate sudden collapse and cardiac arrest suffered by the young Buffalo Bills football player, that I’m sure most of us have seen on TV. I would like to at this time let you know that we can come to your school and screen student’s hearts for any abnormalities. Our screenings include blood pressures, EKG, and a limited echocardiogram (which is an ultrasound of the heart). These are then reviewed by a pediatric cardiologist and the results are mailed to the parents. Anyone between the ages 11-34 is able to have a screening done. Cost of the screening is $89.00, if there are multiple children in a family who want it done each additional child is only $44.50.
